Many parts of the retail sector rely on seasonal opportunities. For some retailers these opportunities are the backbone of their business. For others it is a matter of capitalising on them during lean times.
More than once Advanced Retail have proven they are an ideal EPoS partner in supporting retailers to take advantage of such seasonal opportunities. On this occasion their client was looking to increase sales around celebrations for Bonfire Night.
With only one week to set-up for the five week trading period around November 5th Advanced Retail certainly needed to go off like a firecracker.
The challenge was to set-up a physical pop-up store. Meaning an extension to the existing high street and online EPoS system, extra tills and all the data needed to stock, sell and report on a sub-set of the products stocked by the parent business.
No mean feat, but one that Advanced Retail relished rather than resisted. Like a rocket they set-up a new branch within the EPoS system, stocked it with all the products related to celebrations for Bonfire Night and connected that to two integrated tills.
Not that we’d want this for a firework shop, but the successful setup of the Bonfire Night shop has certainly gone off with a bang. The pop-up store operated smoothly from day one and sales have sparkled.
